Taylor Swift Makes History at Grammy 2024

This year, the Academy honored women, naming a series of female faces in important categories. Taylor Swift surpassed many “heavyweight” names such as Miley Cyrus, boygenius, Lana Del Rey, SZA, Olivia Rodrigo to win with Midnights.

The victory marked her becoming the artist who received the most Album of the Year awards in Grammy history the record of legends Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon (all won three awards). Three of her albums achieved similar achievements, including Fearless (won 2010), 1989 (2016) and Folklore (2020).

“I want to tell you this is the best moment of my life, I feel happy when I finish a song, or when I figure out the bridge (the bridge in the song) that I like, or when I make a music video, or when I work with my dancers,” Taylor Swift broke down in her speech. In addition, she thanked her long-time partner and friend – producer Jack Antonoff.

In addition, Midnights also won another golden trumpet in the Best Pop Album category, bringing Taylor’s total Grammy awards to 14.

The 2024 Grammy win once again affirms Taylor Swift’s position and musical thinking. According to Billboard, her influence in the 2022-2023 period is comparable to The Beatles, Bee Gees and Michael Jackson in their time.

Before the Grammys, fans speculated that Taylor Swift would re-record Reputation – the final album in the Taylor’s Version project – after the singer changed her social media profile picture to a dark black and white image on February 4. However, at the moment of receiving the award for Pop Album of the Year, the singer announced the release of a new album called The Tortured Poets Department on April 19 – including 16 songs that she had cherished for two years to give to her fans.

This information made many Grammy attendees excited and screaming. The Instagram post about the new music product quickly attracted more than four million likes after only 20 minutes of posting.
