Taylor Swift quietly congratulated her boyfriend Travis Kelce on social media after he surpassed Tony Gonzalez for the most receiving touchdowns in Kansas City Chiefs history.
Although Swift wasn’t present to witness Kelce’s historic moment during the Chiefs’ victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, she still showed her support.
With just under 13 minutes left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw a 12-yard pass to Kelce, who was open in the back of the end zone. This catch marked Kelce’s 77th touchdown, the franchise record previously held by Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez.
After the Chiefs secured a 29-10 win, Kelce ended the game with eight catches for 84 yards, bringing his season total to 97 receptions. According to OptaStats, he became the first player in NFL history to record at least 90 catches in seven consecutive seasons.
