On Sunday night, Taylor Swift concluded the Eras Tour, which featured the cherished surprise song segment. For her final surprise performance, she treated fans to five songs: “A Place in This World,” “New Romantics,” “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day,” and “The Manuscript.”
Starting with her acoustic guitar, Swift performed “A Place in This World” from her debut album and followed up with “New Romantics” from 1989.
She then moved to the piano for “Long Live” from her 2010 album, Speak Now, making slight adjustments to the emotional lyrics to suit the occasion, singing, “It was the end of an era/But the start of an age.” This was followed by “New Year’s Day” from Reputation (2017) and “The Manuscript” from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Swift wrapped up her lengthy Eras Tour in Vancouver at BC Place, performing her final concert on Sunday. During the show, she reflected on the tour’s success and its conclusion, telling the audience, “We have toured the entire world with this tour. We’ve had so many adventures; it has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, and challenging experience of my life.
