Travis Kelce’s 17,000-square-foot home was broken into while Taylor Swift was at a Chiefs game.
Break-in happened at Arrowhead Stadium while the Eras star was there to cheer him on.
According to TMZ, Travis Kelce, a great player for the Kansas City Chiefs, had a scary situation last month when his huge 17,000-square-foot mansion in Leawood, Kansas, was broken into.
It was broken into on October 7, while Taylor Swift was at Arrowhead Stadium cheering for the Chiefs in their big game against the New Orleans Saints.
Police say that cash worth $20,000 was stolen and that the back door was broken.
Travis picked his new $6 million estate because it is very private. He moved there after going public with Taylor to get more privacy. Even this very private hideaway couldn’t stay out of sight, though.
The house is the height of luxury, with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a beautiful pool and jacuzzi in the style of Beverly Hills, a six-car garage, lighted tennis and pickleball courts, and even a miniature golf course spread out over three acres of lush, tree-lined grounds.
The inside of the house is just as impressive, with a chef’s kitchen great for Taylor’s love of cooking and baking, as well as large living rooms and balconies with views of the beautiful scenery.
After all the attention he got from his public relationship, Travis’s home is a quiet place for him to get away from it all.
People were surprised that the break-in happened during the Chiefs game and only a few hours after a similar one at quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ home in nearby Belton.
The NFL stars may have been the targets of a bigger crime spree, which ruined what would have been an otherwise exciting season.
That day, Chiefs fans toasted their team’s win. Patrick threw for 331 yards, and Travis caught nine passes for 70 yards.
Travis allegedly signed a new deal with the Kansas City Chiefs worth $57.25 million in 2022 to keep his job there. This means that the tight end will make $14.3 million a year until the end of his deal in 2026.
Even though he makes a good wage, he has said in the past that because of the Chiefs’ salary cap, it isn’t as much as other NFL stars.
“My agents and managers love to tell me I’m not getting paid enough,” he told Vanity Fair. “Whenever I say I need more money, they tell me to ask the Chiefs for it.”
