The huge serpent that erupted during Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour this summer is recognizable to everyone who watched the performance.

Only the most ardent Swifties are aware, however, that Taylor, 28, gave each of the slithering animals a name, with the largest being named Karyn.

Superfans at home were ecstatic on social media when Taylor introduced “Karyn” to her AMA performance on Monday night, marking her televised debut.

Given their continuing feud, the song is thought to contain jabs at Kanye West and the Kardashians.

Following some highly publicized controversy in which Kanye claimed to have “made that b**** famous,” Taylor objected, and Kim provided recordings that appeared to show Kane discussing the lyrics with Taylor beforehand. Kim then called Taylor a “snake.”

More so than the accusation, Taylor’s own followers took back the term and flooded social media with snake emojis.
