Beyoncé Demonstrates How to Wear Butter Yellow for Fall in a Monochrome Outfit
Yellow may not usually be a color traditionally associated with fall wardrobes, but Beyoncé just demonstrated why you shouldn’t rule out the hue this season just yet.
The “16 Carriages” singer headed out in New York City last night to support mom Tina Knowles, who was being honored at Glamour’s 2024 Women of the Year ceremony.
In typical Beyoncé fashion, the superstar skipped the red carpet and headed straight for the ceremony, where she was photographed with Knowles (wearing a custom Amsale look), cousin Angela Beyincé, former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Glamour editor in chief Samantha Barry, and costume designer June Ambrose.
For the occasion, Beyoncé pulled a look from Sergio Hudson’s Spring/Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection. It included a pale butter yellow short-sleeved blouse, which was tucked into a silky golden column maxi skirt cinched at the waist by a wide cream belt with a square silver buckle.

Outside the venue, Bey was photographed waving in a car with more fall elements added to her ensemble, including a camel wool coat with a fur shawl and sheer lemon yellow gloves.

Beyoncé reportedly got teary-eyed as her mother spoke during the event.
“I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things,” Knowles said onstage, per People. “I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother.” She added, “I was somewhat of a rebellious teen and a young adult…but the day that I became a mother, I decided that this was one thing that I wouldn’t screw up.”
