After Ryan Reynolds’ mom joined her at an event for It Ends with Us, Blake Lively called her the “hottest plus-one.”

Last month, Tammy Reynolds and Blake Lively went to a special showing of “It Ends with Us.”

Blake Lively brought a very important person to see her new movie.

On June 15, the star’s mother-in-law, Tammy Reynolds, joined the team working on It Ends with Us. She showed up out of the blue at a showing of the new movie in Grapevine, Texas. In an Instagram post about the event on July 10, Lively, 36, said that Ryan Reynolds’ mother was “the hottest plus one.”

“After 20 years in this business, I don’t think I’ve ever had anything quite like surprising 2500 fans with an early sneak peek of @itendswithusmovie,” the actress and director wrote. “Theme parks would go out of business if people had half as much fun as we did.”

It Ends with Us co-stars Isabela Ferrer and Brandon Sklenar, as well as the author of the hit book the movie is based on, were all in Lively’s carousel of pictures. One of Lively’s favorite things was making flower jeans with her co-stars and “bringing the hottest plus one, my mother-in-law @tamtam1944.”

It Ends with Us, which comes out in theaters August 9, is about a woman named Lily Bloom (played by Lively and, in flashbacks, Ferrer) who starts dating a passionate guy named Ryle (Justin Baldoni, who also directed the movie). As a pattern of abuse in her relationship becomes clear, Lily gets back together with Atlas, who was played by Sklenar and, in flashbacks, Alex Neustaedter.

Tammy, who is 65 years old, has also been a special guest at events with her son in the past. The Canadian actor and director and his mother made people laugh on June 10 at The View, and Whoopi Goldberg even gave them a shout-out.
