Ryan Reynolds posted a black-and-white photo of him and the film’s director Levy sitting in an editing suite, working hard to cut the film together
“And that’s all she wrote for post-production,” he captioned. It seems as though a million years of labor have passed by quickly. The sweetest part of it all was sitting next to this guy. It’s difficult to leave.
Reposting the image on his Stories, Levy acknowledged that he was relieved to have completed the post-production stage.
“I’m sorry it’s over. However, I can’t wait to show you what we created together,” he said.
The movie’s filming started in May 2023, but it was put on hold for several months because of the actors’ strike. Reynolds and Levy have been cutting the picture intermittently for nearly five months, having picked up where they left off in November and completed filming in January.
The pair, who previously collaborated on Free Guy and The Adam Project, will shortly be starting a significant press tour, perhaps with Hugh Jackman, who will be making a comeback as Wolverine.
Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Morena Baccarin are among the other actors who feature in the film, which opens in theaters on July 25.
