In 2022, Blake Lively notably co-chaired the Met Gala, which had In America: An Anthology of Fashion as its theme.

The week before, Lively dazzled at a party celebrating Pharrell Williams’s new collection at Tiffany & Co.’s flagship store in New York.

This raised high expectations for her interpretation of the 2024 theme. Elle, however, claims that this year, Lively and her spouse Ryan Reynolds opted to stay at home with their children instead of attending the event.

The pair did not attend the celebrations the year before either; Lively teased that she would be watching from home in her gown, which was inspired by the Statue of Liberty, while curled up on her couch.
