The pop sensation updated her Instagram with new photos on Sunday, and while the Met Gala may be on the minds of many in the fashion industry today… Here, Bey made her own fashion statement by donning leather leggings and a thong bodysuit that exposed her posterior.

Beyonce appears to have been aiming for the persona of an American icon, as evidenced by the reference to Lady Liberty in her caption: “I was about to inform my grandchildren that this was the Statue of Liberty.”
