Blake Lively teases her upcoming film “IF” while gushing over her “Dreamy” husband Ryan Reynolds.
Blake Lively claims that her marriage to her own Prince Charming is the culmination of all her childhood fantasies.
“Everything I thought I knew as a child has come true. His name is @vancityreynolds,” 36-year-old Lively said on Wednesday, April 10th, to Instagram Stories.
To avoid con𝔣usion, Lively continued by revealing the full name of her spouse, whom she wed in 2012.
His real name isn’t At Vancity Reynolds, though. However, he is dreamy and part of the magical @ifmovie.
Lively was talking about Reynolds’ next family movie, IF, which stands for imaginary friends. The actor has called the project a “live-action Pixar picture.”
Reynolds (47) plays an adult who can see people’s past imaginary pals who have regretfully been forgotten by their creators in the film. Reynolds co-stars in the film with Cailey Fleming, who plays Bea, a resident of his building with the ability to see the magical makers. The unusual pair works together to save the IFs from going extinct.
John Krasinski wrote and directed the fantasy comedy, which is slated for release this summer. Krasinski also appears in an unidentified role. The cast is completed by Awkwafina, who provides the voice of Octocat; Christopher Meloni, who plays Cosmo; Steve Carell, who plays Blue; and Maya Rudolph, who plays Ally. John Stewart, Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon are set to play a number of other as-yet-unidentified characters.
It’s hardly surprising that Lively has publicly backed her husband given how supportive they have been of each other’s careers over the years. The couple also makes sure that, in order to be present for their four children, they alternate working on the set.
“When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time, so that we could always prioritize our personal life,” Lively said in an Entertainment Online podcast interview from February about the “Further Ado” podcast.
“Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time,” Reynolds revealed in a 2019 interview with People, providing further details on their relationship policy. We just wouldn’t get to see each other if I was filming in Vancouver and she was filming in Thailand. Our ability to function as a cohesive team is incredibly beneficial to us.
In order to maintain their family unit, which consists of their four daughters—James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 7, and an unnamed fourth born in 2023—he continued, saying it was critical that they stick to their decision.
“That is where home is—the kids stay with us, the family stays together. Therefore, whenever we are together—in Spain, Utah, or New York—we are at home,” Reynolds continued.
In theaters on May 17, IF.
