In an effort to support Ukrainian migrants, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have promised to match donations up to $1 million USD. On the fourth day of Russia’s invasion of Uҡraine, the couple made their announcement.
“In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes,” the Free Guy star tweeted on Sunday. They require defense. He went on: “When you donate, we’ll match it up to [$1 million USD], creating double the support.” A link to the United Nations Refugee Agency was included with the post. Lively made a statement via her Instagram account as well. “Total donations to @usaforunhcr will be doubled by @vancityreynolds and me, up to $1,000,000,” the Gossip Girl star declared. “@usaforunhcr is providing life-saving aid, and also working with neighboring countries to ensure protection for these families,” she said.
