Following weeks of conjecture regarding her departure from public life, Kate Middleton revealed in a video posted on Friday that she was undergoing canc𝔢r treatment. Blake Lively apologized on her Instagram Stories for making fun of the Princess of Wales’s “Photoshop fails” after Kensington Palace shared a Photoshopped photo of Kate and her three kids on Mother’s Day in the UK.

Lively commented, “I feel like I have to acknowledge this even though I’m sure no one cares today.” “I created a dumb post on the craze for “photoshop disasters,” and I’m so embarrassed about it now. I apologize. I’m always sending love and best wishes to everyone.

Blake Lively posted an apology on her Instagram Stories for joking about the Princess of Wales’s “Photoshop fails” when Kensington Palace released a doctored image of Kate and her three children on the U.K.’s Mother’s Day

Although the post that Lively was referencing has since been removed, the images were advertising shots for her Betty Buzz and Betty B𝔬𝔬ze collection that had clear Photoshop alterations made to capitalize on the popular subject.

“I’m thrilled to provide this brand-new image I took today to introduce our four newest @bettybuzz & @bettybooze items! You now understand my disappearance,” the caption said.

It was revealed at the beginning of the year that Kate will undergo an abdominal surgery in January and would return to public appearances following Easter. The photo that was altered with Photoshop led admirers and followers to wonder if she was okay.

The Princess accepted responsibility for the image, saying she was experimenting with her editing abilities. She continued by saying that it was revealed during her surgery that she needed canc𝔢r treatment, and that she is currently having “a course of preventative chemotherapy.”

She stated in her video, “I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful. It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family.”
