Beyoncé served as an influence for Rihanna as she prepared for her Super Bowl halftime show.
During the NFL’s The Process podcast with Nate Burleson and iHeart on Sunday, Rihanna revealed that she had watched the “Cuff It” singer’s previous Super Bowl Halftime Show performances to get ready for her own.
“I have seen Beyoncé’s halftime shows a few times.”She is extremely powerful and on another level.Simply to feel motivated, actually,” the 34-year-old Grammy winner said to presenter Nate Burleson…
Beyoncé, 41, performed solo as the star of the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show in 2013, although Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, two former members of Destiny’s Child, made a cameo appearance during her performance.
When Rihanna and Bruno Mars joined Coldplay, the game’s main act, on the field for the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show in 2016, she gave another performance on the Super Bowl stage.
The “Lift Me Up” singer revealed at a press conference on Thursday that the hardest part of getting ready for her Super Bowl LVII performance was deciding which songs to include in her set.
“Choosing how to make the most of the 13 minutes while still celebrating was the hardest, hardest part. That is what this program will be. “It will be an opulent celebration of my catalog, curated to the fullest extent possible,” Rihanna declared to Apple Music host Nadeska Alexis.
It’s challenging to squeeze 17 years of labor into 13 minutes. I think we did a fairly good job of cutting it down, but there are some songs we have to lose because of that, and that’s going to be okay,” she continued.
The starlet has been so concentrated on winning the Super Bowl that she hasn’t even thought about the impending holidays.
“My birthday is coming up, but I’ve been so focused on the Super Bowl that I completely forgot.” She murmured, “I completely forgot about Valentine’s Day.
But as Rihanna discovered after giving birth to her 8-month-old son with A$AP Rocky in May of last year and releasing her first song in almost seven years in October, parenthood and professional goals don’t always go hand in hand.
However, there’s a moment that just happens when you become a mother and feel like you can conquer the world. The Super Bowl is one of the largest stages in the world, and you can do anything,” the “Diamonds” singer remarked. Even though it was terrifying, there’s an exciting aspect to the challenge, therefore I should definitely try it this year. It is critical to representation. It is crucial that my son understands that.”
