In an interview with Sky Sports, Liverpool great Jamie Carragher asked Salah what his favorite memory of Klopp was. He thought for a moment and then said, “With him?” I always look at him from the touchline because he looks so sad there! It’s funny to watch him play the whole game on the line.

“I thought it was crazy when we won the Champions League.” The movies we had made us feel good, and the way we felt after the game was a good memory.

Liverpool didn’t win a trophy in Klopp’s first three seasons as manager, but they did lose three cup games and came in second place to Manchester City in the 2018–19 title race, with a record 97 points.

Three weeks later, when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Champions League final, they got rid of any bad spirits that were still there. Salah scored the first goal from the penalty spot.

This made it possible for Klopp to win a lot of prizes at Liverpool. In the seven years since they won the European title in 2019, he has led Liverpool to six more titles, including their first Premier League title in 2020.
