Once again, two legends meet in “LFC x LeBron: Chapter 2,” which takes place in Liverpool rather than Los Angeles.
Today marked the beginning of the newest transatlantic partnership between a footballing behemoth and the world’s most famous basketball player.
Chapter 2 continues the kinetic spirit of last year’s capsule collection by fusing black, blue, and gold to create a new aesthetic that combines modern football fits with timeless basketball styles.It has a football jacket, T-shirts, a basketball jersey and shorts, a short-sleeve stadium jersey in black, and more. The emblems of LeBron James’s “Strive for Greatness” and Liverpool FC’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone” are both highlighted in gold.
There is just a single pair of sneakers included in the set. An homage to LeBron’s humble beginnings, the LFC x LeBron Nike NXXT Gen Amplified feature AirZoom cushioning and a sole inspired by Akron.
Virgil van Dijk, Taylor Hinds, Andy Robertson, Missy Bo Kearns, Andy Robertson, and LeBron James are the faces of the new campaign. LeBron also became the first NBA player to score 40,000 points in a single season last weekend.
The ad campaign, which features LeBron and Van Dijk, will begin airing this weekend outside the Kop in addition to Niketown London, Los Angeles, and New York City.
The Liverpool captain remarked, “It’s great to have worked together alongside LeBron to launch this collaboration” when asked about the joint venture. I can’t wait for everyone to view our finished product.
