Blake Lively Paid homage to New York with her Met Gala attire

An hour into the Met Gala red carpet, it appeared like guests were, once again, dressed to their own taste, obliging the theme, and looking stunning, but giving little to no indication of “Gilded Glamour.” Blake Lively then entered. It was evident right away that the actress and Met Gala 2022 cohost understood the mission when she appeared on the red carpet on the arm of her spouse and fellow cohost, Ryan Reynolds, just in time to show everyone how it’s done.

Blake Lively is the Met Gala prom queen, and she wore a look to match-a rose gold Atelier Versace gown, covered in so many beautiful details, it will take hours to truly appreciate all of it. The gown features a crystal-encrusted art-deco under-layer, inspired by the architecture of the Empire State Building

The actress, who is tonight’s prom queen at the Met Gala, looked stunning in an Atelier Versace gown that is so intricately detailed that it will take hours to fully appreciate it. The dress has an art-deco underskirt covered in crystals that was inspired by the Empire State Building’s design. A big bow rests atop, serving as a bustle for Lively’s dress as she ascended the first flight of steps. At one point, Lively waved over two assistants to have the bow taken down and unfurled, revealing a stunning train. Lively’s dress changed in before of our eyes, the light blue skirt underneath the bow becoming an embroidered cosmic map inspired by the Grand Central Station ceiling. To complete the look, Lively also removed her shimmering rose gold leather gloves and showed off similar blue ones. Abruptly, Lively became the Statue of Liberty right in front of us, her attire reflecting the copper statue’s hues and the greenish-blue oxidation that changes them. Finally, Lively truly is Lady Liberty tonight—or, perhaps more accurately, Lady Lively. She ends with a crown.
