A stunning £120 million is expected to be spent on the celebrations, sources have told MailOnline. It is estimated that the catering contract alone, given to one of the top five-star hotel chains in India, will cost over £20 million.

According to sources close to the Ambanis who spoke with MailOnline, the amount will “significantly increase,” with millions more expected to be spent in July in Mumbai for the marriage of Ambani’s son Anant to Radhika Merchant.

A$AP Rocky, Rihanna’s partner, and the 36-year-old singer, who is performing at the festivities, were spotted on camera leaving India today. Ambani reportedly paid Beyoncé $6 million to perform a private concert for guests at his daughter’s 2018 wedding.

With a net worth of over $114 billion, the 66-year-old chairman of the massive oil-to-telecoms company Reliance Industries is the richest person in Asia, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaires list.

Ambani and his wife Nita, their son Anant, and his fiancée Radhika Merchant began a three-day feast for over 51,000 locals at the Reliance Township in his birthplace of Jamnagar, in the western state of Gujarat, India, on Wednesday evening.

Later this year, Anant, 28, who also sits on the boards of numerous Reliance-owned companies, is anticipated to wed Merchant, 29, an industrialist’s daughter.

In 2018, Ambani threw his daughter the most extravagant wedding in India, reportedly spending $100 million and included American pop sensation Beyonce.

According to a list given by Reliance, the attendees this time around are anticipated to include Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and a number of present and previous government figures. Rihanna, illusionist David Blaine, and Bollywood’s Diljit Dosanjh will play for them.

Disney CEO Robert Iger is also invited, as a result of the agreement reached on Wednesday between Reliance Industries and Walt Disney to combine their Indian media companies.

The former US president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, the King of Bhutan, the former Swedish prime minister Carl Bildt, and the former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper are among the other guests invited.

A who’s-who of India’s ultra-rich elite is also invited, including Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan, cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and M.S. Dhoni, and business mogul Gautam Adani.

“No expense has been spared for this three-day party,” a source claimed. Even though the sum of money is astounding, the Ambanis always go above and above.
