On Sunday, Lively shared a video of Reynolds riding a skateboard along with a playback of Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi” song.

The 36-year-old actress posted a picture of Ryan Reynolds, 47, clinging to a skateboard on her Instagram Story on Sunday. She captioned the photo with the words, “@AvrilLavigne dreams really do come true,” and played the 2002 𝔰𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔥 song, “Sk8er Boi.”

Wearing a beanie hat, Converse sneakers, and sunglasses, the Deadpool actor grinned sweetly at the camera while toting a skateboard and helmet.

The lyrics to the song flashed over the Instagram footage, “He was a skater boy, she said see you later boy, he wasn’t good enough for her.” “Her head was up in space; she needed to return to Earth, even though she had a pretty face.”

The former Gossip Girl star shared the rule she and Reynolds established when they first started dating in her most recent image.

Earlier this month, Lively stated that she and her now-husband decided to put their relationship above their careers when appearing on Amber Tamblyn’s Substack show Further Ado, according to Entertainment Tonight.

“When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time,” recalled Lively. “So that we could always prioritize our personal life.”

“That takes working really hard when we’re not,” she stated. “Just like financial planning and sustaining that — it takes balance.”

As Lively put it, she was “used to working hard and going and going and going and not stopping.”

“Especially, Gossip Girl was six years of my life, and we were sometimes shooting three episodes at once,” she said.

In 2011, Lively and Reynolds started dating, and in 2012, they tied the knot. The couple has four kids together: a 1-year-old infant, Inez, 7, James, 9, and Betty, 4.

Lively and Reynolds also posted a humorous moment on social media earlier this month following Lively’s attendance at Super Bowl 2024 alongside Taylor Swift.

Reynolds posted, “Has everyone seen the #Deadpool trailer?,” halfway during the NFL game. On Instagram, I asked, “Has anyone seen my wife?”

The day after, Lively shared an Instagram Story of her posing in front of the same background from the Deadpool trailer with the caption, “Honey, I’m home.”

“I had a nice day. Yours?” she continued.
