Blake Lively discloses a crucial guideline that she and Ryan Reynolds have adhered to since their first date.

With four children together, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have been married for almost a decade. It appears that setting up a crucial ground rule early on helped their marriage succeed.

The main tenet that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have upheld since the beginning of their romance has been made public.

The actress, 36, who has been married to her husband for almost 12 years, revealed that when they first started dating, they made a rule for themselves that they had to abide by in order to save their union. In an interview with her friend Amber Tamblyn for her Substack podcast “Further Ado” on February 22, Blake stated: “When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time so that we could always prioritise our personal life.”

Although it is evident that the rule has benefited the two actors, Blake acknowledged that it has occasionally been difficult to follow. Blake stated: “It requires a lot of effort when we’re not. Similar to budgeting and maintaining that, balance is required.”

She also acknowledged that, because she was filming “Gossip Girl,” she had a more demanding work schedule when she first started dating her spouse. “I’m used to working hard, going, going, going, and not stopping,” she remarked. They have three daughters together and welcomed a fourth last year. Ryan stated to People in 2019 that he and Blake don’t work on movies simultaneously.”We would just never meet up if I was filming a movie in Vancouver and she was filming in Thailand.
