Blake Lively shared an important rule she and husband Ryan Reynolds made early into their romance, because she felt she’d been working ‘Nonstop’ when they got together
Blake Lively said she and Ryan Reynolds created an important rule early in their relationship since she was working “nonstop” when they met.
A unique proposal sparked Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ relationship.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum said she and Dєadpool made a commitment to make their relationship work when they started dating in 2011.
“When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time,” she told pal Amber Tamblyn on Further Ado on Feb. 22. “So that we could always prioritize our personal life.”
The ultimatum worked for Blake and Ryan, who married in 2012, although she said it was hard to follow.
“That requires hard work when we’re not,” she said. “Just like financial planning and sustaining that; it takes balance.”
Blake valued the no-overlapping-work agreement because she was working “nonstop” on Gossip Girl when they started dating.
“I’m used to working hard and going and going and going and going and not stopping,” she said. “Especially, Gossip Girl was six years of my life, and we were sometimes shooting three episodes at once.”Two years after the famous program ended, the couple welcomed daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child in February 2023.
“There’s nothing on earth more grounding than having a baby,” Ryan told E! News 2016. “It’s the best thing that could ever happen to someone.”
After all these years, Blake and Ryan may keep the romance alive by taunting each other at every opportunity, whether it’s the Super Bowl or sharing candid Instagram images.
