Fans have called him the “real life Ted Lasso.” And since he bought a house in Richmond, where the hit show is set, Ryan Reynolds is getting even more like the comedy-ԃɾαɱα character.
The 46-year-old star and his 35-year-old wife Blake Lively are said to have bought a £4 million, five-bedroom mansion in a London suburb. They will stay there for the foreseeable future while Ryan films the third movie in the Deadpool series in the capital.
A-listers like to live in the area. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent a lot of their married life there, and Jason Sudeikis lived there while playing Ted Lasso, the American manager of the made-up AFC Richmond.

And for Hollywood stars Ryan and Blake, who have daughters James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3, as well as a baby girl they had earlier this year, buying a house in London was the next logical step. This is because Blake bought Wrexham AFC in 2021 and has become fully involved in Welsh life.

“They can’t wait to settle down in Richmond and make friends there. They joke that they’ll be drinking tea and calling each other “mate” in no time because they love the UK so much and see it as a second home.”
Blake and Ryan are known as one of the more down-to-earth A-list couples. They love the UK so much that they have raised their children there.
Ryan had previously joked about how much he loved Wales by saying, “Bury me in Wales!” earlier this month, he announced that he had made a deal with the American station S4C to bring Welsh-language shows to the US. The bilingual crime ԃɾαɱα Bαng, the documentary series Pen Petrol (Petrol Head) about young people in north Wales and their cars, and Y Wal Goch (The Red Wall), a football-themed chat show hosted by singer Yws Gwynedd and Mari Lovgreen are some of the shows that will be shown.
