A$AP Rocky was approached as he walked into a performance space and inquired about the progress of Rihanna’s next album.

The 35-year-old rapper Am I Dreaming was approached by a fan to take a selfie with him when he was wearing a long, double-breasted coat with formal slacks and a shirt and tie on underneath.

At that point, a member of the gathered throng asked about the 35-year-old singer Pon de Replay’s upcoming album, which is being dubbed #R9 in reference to the fact that it is her ninth studio album.

With security around him, Rocky—who had taken Rihanna out to dinner on Valentine’s Day in Paris—was sly in his response, only remarking, “She’s working on it,” as he entered the building and gave supporters the peace sign.

The Umbrella hitmaker hasn’t published an album in eight years; Anti was her most recent release in 2016.

Since her last album, Rihanna has been quite busy with her Fenty Beauty makeup business, Savage X Fenty lingerie line, and her two back-to-back 2022 and 2023 births.

In May 2022, they welcomed RZA Athelaston Mayers, and in August 2023, Riot Rose Mayers.

The singer, who was born in the Bahamas, hinted at a future tour in December at an event organized by Fenty and Puma to introduce her children’s shoe line. However, she stated that she wouldn’t go on a tour without playing new music.

“We will continue to tour in the future.” When there’s new music, I want to tour again, right? We are well aware of what it will entail,’ she stated to ET in December.

“I think it’s only right that my fans receive the new music they’ve been waiting for, and then let’s just blow everything up,” she continued.

Given that Rihanna allegedly inked a $40 million comeback contract with Live Nation, it seems likely that she will release new music in 2024.

Since she dropped the single “Lift Me Up,” off the 2022 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album, fans have been clamoring for more.

At the time, it was her first single in six years.

The couple, who are parents to two boys, took a break from raising their kids to enjoy a romantic dinner date in Paris as a way to commemorate their love.

Later that night, in honor of the romantic day, the singer of Don’t Stop The Music received a sizable arrangement of red roses from her partner; their security assisted in pulling off the surprise flower delivery.

The two celebrities first made their relationship public in November 2020. Prior to that, they had worked together and been sighted together at events, including Paris Fashion Week in 2018.

“They have always had amazing chemistry, and Rihanna relates to A$AP, and it [their relationship] feels natural, easy, and fun,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight at the time.
