After leading Japan in the Asian Cup this winter, Wataru Endo has made his way back to Merseyside. At Wednesday’s practice at the AXA Training Centre, Endo was back with his teammates.

 

 

Japan advanced to the quarterfinals, but were eliminated in a 2-1 loss against Iran. Over the course of the three weeks, Endo appeared in each of their five matches. In fact, he scored in a 2-1 loss to Iraq in the group round.

On Saturday, Liverpool will face Burnley in an attempt to make amends for last weekend’s loss. If the manager so desires, the defensive midfielder could make an appearance.
