When Ariana Grande hinted at the impending two-part movie version of the popular 2004 Broadway musical Wicked on Wednesday, her fans became quite enthusiastic.

The 31-year-old musician posted a picture of herself in a silhouette costumed as the role that actress Kristin Chenoweth initially played—that of Glinda the Good WitcҺ.

She appears to be carrying Glinda’s iconic star-shaped wand, crown, and flowing, puff-sleeved gown.

The musician, 31, shared a photo of herself silhouette while dressed as Glinda the Good Witch, the character originally portrayed by actress Kristin Chenoweth

Ariana put in a countdown that indicated there would be nine months, twenty-six days, and three hours until the movie’s first part was released.

The singer of Problem released another silhouette photo shortly after that, in which she was seen standing next to Elphaba the Wicked WitcҺ of the West actress Cynthia Erivo.

Ariana informed her fans that they will be able to finish Part Two of the catch in just “300 days.”

Only a few days prior, she had posted a silhouette black and white picture of Cynthia soaring through the air in her role as Elphaba.

Jonathan Bailey, who plays Prince Fiyero in the film Fellow Travelers, was visible in a different behind-the-scenes photo.

Following Ariana’s tearful tweet about ending Wicked—the show where she first met her boyfriend Ethan Slater—is the sharing.

In the upcoming movie, which is based on Gregory Maguire’s best-selling book and the popular Broadway musical adaption, Ethan plays Munchkinland inhabitant Boq.

It acts as a preface to The Wizard of Oz, examining the story prior to Dorothy’s arrival and going into detail into Elphaba and Glinda’s previous friendship.

Ariana posted on her Instagram Story, saying, “I will never forget even a minute of my year(s) with [Glinda].” ‘Or you, or my Cyn. preferably permanently entwined

“I am so incredibly grateful that we were able to include so many soggy eyelashes in the collection,” she said.

Jon M. Chu, the film’s director, also got a shout-out.

Following the release of her first single since 2021, Ariana received a heartfelt send-off.

Yes, And? seemed to address the criticism she faced regarding her relationship with boyfriend Ethan, whom she started dating shortly after her breakup with Dalton Gomez.

She often asks, “Yes, and?” in an attempt to get her audience to consider why they feel the need to make comments about her life.

The pop princess croons, “Your business is yours, and mine is mine,” before asking, “Why do you care so much whose car I ride?”

Soon after the news of Ariana’s separation with Dalton broke in July, there were speculations circulating that she was dating her co-star from Wicked, Ethan. This put Ariana under public scrutiny.

To compound the eyebrow-raising, Ethan had just filed for divorce from his high school girlfriend, Lilly Jay.

In July 2023, he filed for divorce from her after they had welcomed their first child together in August 2022.

The sultry song also follows reports that in November, Ariana and Ethan escalated their connection. The singer of Dangerous Woman is now residing in New York City with her Wicked co-star as he plays Spamalot.

The two became together in December 2022 while working together on the UK set of the critically acclaimed Broadway show Wicked.

In July 2023, both couples declared their separation from one another within a few days of one another. Ariana, for example, revealed her breakup with Dalton only three days before confirming her new relationship with Ethan, who then filed for divorce from Lilly.

The debut single off Ariana’s highly anticipated seventh studio album, which she began to allude to in late December, is called Yes, And?

In 2020, the pop icon released Positions, her final studio album.

November 2024 is when Wicked is anticipated to open in theaters.
