Blake Lively Wore a Lot of Different Patterns on Her Most Recent Date With Ryan Reynolds

Like always with Blake, she pulled it off.

Blake Lively has a knack for pulling off even the most daring looks—just look at her two pairs of pants on the set of It Ends With Us, or her floral sundress and pinstripe trench coat ensemble—if you watched Gossip Girl or have simply followed her impeccable street style over the years. Well, she did it once more when she went out for an adventure with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, on what seemed to be the hottest day of the year in New York City.

A normal stroll through NYC on Wednesday morning saw Lively and Reynolds holding hands while sporting coordinated couple appearances that served as a friendly reminder that summer doesn’t end until September 23. Lively looked cool in a breezy mixed-media midi dress from SPELL that combined vibrant floral and gingham prints. The airy dress showcased a button-up waist, spaghetti straps, and a voluminous, tiered skirt that fell just beyond her shins, giving her vivid Nike Air Force 1 sneakers a prominent place.

Finally, Lively accessorized with a beaded and patterned purple Chanel crossbody purse, which she wore while holding a mint green cardigan in one hand. Lively wore a colorful dress, but she accessorized simply with tan sunglasses and gold hoops for earrings. Her golden hair was styled with soft waves and a deep side part.

Ryan, on the other hand, looked great with his wife in an olive green button-up shirt worn over a white tee and form-fitting blue pants. However, he made the most of his accessories, sporting a rainbow-banded Apple watch, a navy blue baseball cap, clear sunglasses, and several beaded bracelets that looked like they belonged at a Taylor Swift concert (which, given the couple’s close friendship with the singer, may be the case).

If their practically daily walks loaded with PDA weren’t enough to make them a relationship goal, Reynolds just sent a heartwarming birthday message to his wife on social media. He said, “The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person,” and included a number of pictures with Blake. “Even if I tried, I couldn’t take for granted getting to see her life. And I do try, I assure you. @blakelively, happy birthday.
