Chelsea keeping tabs on Montpellier striker Akor Adams

Chelsea scouts were observing the 24-year-old Nigerian striker closely on Sunday, according to the journalist’s HTC revelation. The Blues were swiping Adams in a French league match between Montpellier and Lille.

This season, the striker has been a boon for Montpellier since joining the French club from Lillestrom. The West London giants have taken notice of Adams, who has scored seven goals in nineteen league matches this season.

Adams may be an asset for Chelsea in their pursuit of a top-tier striker, which is a well-known requirement. To help them score more goals, the Blues brought in Nicolas Jackson, a former star of La Liga, before the beginning of the season. However, Jackson has failed to impress thus far.

It will be interesting to see whether Chelsea decides to trade for Adams when the season comes to a close; they clearly need an upgrade. Neither this month nor in January is he expected to be sold by Montpellier, who are under no compulsion to do so.

His current deal with the French side runs thrоugh the summer оf 2027. Accоrding tо a rumоr frоm Fооtball Insider, the striker’s transfer fee wоuld be at least £15,000,000.

Adams considers a move to ChelseaIf Adams maintains his impressive play for Montpellier in the second half of the season, Chelsea, who have the financial wherewithal to pay the rumored sum, may formally announce their interest.

Chelsea might come to regret not acquiring the player this winter since, depending on his performance in the upcoming month, the asking price could easily increase in the summer.

The prоspect of playing for one of the world’s most prestigious teams, Chelsea, in the Premier League next season is sure to entice the Nigerian striker.
