On Wednesday, Ariana Grande posted an emotional message on Instagram regarding the conclusion of filming for Wicked, the show where she first met Ethan Slater.
The 30-year-old Thank U, Next singer posted a behind-the-scenes photo of herself with the message “handprint on my heart,” alluding to the song “For Good” from the critically acclaimed 2003 musical Wicked, to commemorate the conclusion of her time as Glinda the Good Witch.
She posted on her Instagram Story, saying, “I will never forget even a minute of my year(s) with [Glinda].” Or you. or Cynthia Erivo, my Cyn. preferably permanently entwined
“I am so incredibly grateful that we were able to include so many soggy eyelashes in the collection,” she said.

To mark the end of her days as Glinda the Good Witch, the Thank U, Next singer, 30, shared a behind-the-scenes image of her silhouette, with the caption ‘handprint on my heart,’ referencing the song, For Good, from the hit 2003 musical Wicked
The two-time Grammy winner continued by thanking Jon M. Chu, the film’s director, while acknowledging that “words quite yet” couldn’t adequately express her feelings.
“Jon, I appreciate you setting an example of such kindness, openness, intelligence, and compassion,” she said in closing. “I’ve never witnessed someone manage a space quite like you do.” I adore you enormously.
She said goodbye to Chu’s Instagram post and their time spent together on the set.
The 44-year-old director of films said he would ‘never forget’ his year spent together with Grande.
“I’m excited for you to meet her,” he said to his supporters.
“Thank you @arianagrande for pouring your heart into Oz,” he said in closing.
In the upcoming movie, Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch, drawing inspiration from both the popular Broadway musical and Gregory Maguire’s best-selling book.
It is a precursor to The Wizard of Oz, where the plot takes place before Dorothy meets Glinda and Elphaba, and describes their brief friendship.
She first met her partner, who portrays Munchkinland inhabitant Boq, on the set.

In addition, Bronwyn James, Adam James, Keala Settle, Bowen Yang, and Jonathan Bailey play Fiyero in the movie.
The two-part television adaptation of Wicked has not revealed many specifics about its filming.
Wicked Part 1 was supposed to come out on Christmas Day, 2024, but it will now come out on November 27, 2024. The second part will come out on December 25, 2025.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year, Jeff Goldblum revealed that he had been cast in the movie.
“I was just on the Wicked set.” I’m not allowed to discuss that. However, it has been observed, he remarked. “You really ought to see our witches, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.”
Additionally, the movie’s stars, Ariana and Cynthia, released teasers from their impending release in March.
Grande shared a picture of herself as the good witch Glinda, walking up a lengthy staircase while wearing a pink gown.
Erivo, 36, posted a picture of herself as the evil witch Elphaba, complete with broom and bonnet.
Chu captioned the two photos at the time, saying, “You weren’t told the whole story.” When you deviate from the Yellow Brick Road, what happens? AN FIRST LOOK at the #WickedMovie, which is presently shooting in Oz.
Erivo replied, “It’s been wonderful making magic with you,” in the comments.

Kristin Chenoweth, who played Glinda the Good Witch in the past, has expressed her pride in Grande for assuming the role on several occasions.
The pop diva was’really terrified’ at the thought of playing the character in the impending two-part movie adaptation, according to the 54-year-old actress, who was nominated for a Tony Award when she originated the part of the good witch in the smash hit musical.
‘She didn’t ask me for guidance but she was genuinely nervous,’ she claimed in an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She claimed she wanted to honor me but added, “I want to make you proud, but I’m really scared.”
I am already proud of her, though. Completed. Verify.”
The Thank U, Next hitmaker was pushed to take on the part by the former Pushing Daisies actor, who has known Ariana since seeing her backstage at Wicked nearly 20 years ago as a teenage fan.
She also remembered how excited they both were when the singer called to let her know she had the role.

Upon landing the role, Grande shared a photo of flowers sent to her from Erivo to celebrate the achievement
“What I want to encourage you to do, Ariana, is make Glinda your Glinda,” she continued. I desire for you to be you. I see the whole circle now that I’ve known her since I was ten years old.
‘I got it!’ she called me, sobbing. “Oh my God, what?” I exclaimed. We had a doglike voice! But I’m really happy for her.
The ‘West Wing’ star “can’t wait” to see Ariana on the big screen, and Ariana frequently contacts Kristin to discuss her ideas for the role.
“This is what I have to do, what do you think?” is what [Ariana] calls me, the woman stated. I’m eager to watch her attempt it. I’m eager. ‘Kristin, I’m going to be freaking out on the night of the premiere,’ she remarked.
