The story of Argylle was originally revealed in June 2021. Matthew would be directing from a screenplay written by Jason Fuchs, which was based on an unpublished novel by an unidentified author named Elly Conway.
The release of the Argylle novel was once scheduled for September 29, 2022, but it was later postponed to March 29, 2023, and it is currently reportedly scheduled for November 9, 2023. It appears that the author has never published a book before.
In August 2021, Apple declared that they had paid a staggering $200 million for the film’s rights, and Vaughn shared his opinions about the unpublished screenplay with the public.
“After reading this preliminary manuscript, I thought it was the most amazing and unique spy series since Ian Fleming’s novels from the 1950s,” Vaughan remarked.
‘This is going to redefine the espionage genre,’ the director continued, although not much is known about the author.
