Brad Pitt has ‘awkward run-in’ with ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s dad Jon Voight and brother James Haven amid the former couple’s years-long legal feud

In the midst of his contentious divorce from Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt had a “awkward run-in” with his ex-in-laws while visiting a modest gallery exhibition in Beverly Hills.

The two-time Oscar winner, 60, ran with his older brother James Haven and ex-wife’s father, Jon Voight, while out on a date with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.

They happened to run into each other while perusing the Gagosian Gallery for an exhibition directed by his Moneyball collaborator, Bennett Miller.

“A lot of people noticed how awkward it was that Brad was in the same room as Ange’s family, and it’s not a big space,” the eyewitness told The Sun.

The 60-year-old two-time Oscar winner ran across his older brother James Haven and ex-wife’s father Jon Voight while out on a date with his new girlfriend Ines de Ramon.

James was kind and acknowledged Brad, but I didn’t see them conversing; instead, they were mainly standing apart and talking with others during the gathering, the insider continued.

Pitt and de Ramon, 31, with whom the actor started seeing in February of last year, were reported to have reciprocated the courtesy by being “polite and acknowledged.”

Even though Jolie was only a few steps away from her father and sibling, the Babylon actor appeared unfazed as he laughed with an unnamed friend.

‘Brad was unaware they’d be in attendance at the popular opening,’ the Sun further said.

While at the museum, Sam Asghari, the ex-husband of Britney Spears, ‘stepped up and requested’ Pitt for a’selfie.’

Following their brief conversation in which Asghari mentioned ‘how much’ Spears ‘loved him,’ the father of six’switched sides and went over’ to speak with ‘James and Jon for a while.’

The 29-year-old Iranian-American model posted the photo to social media with the remark, “Last night, at the #bennettmiller @gagosian with some cool people.” Additionally, I learned a lot about skin care from Brad Pitt at #notwaxfigure.

The encounter between Pitt and Haven occurs only a few weeks after the actor made incredibly uncommon comments regarding his relationship with Jolie during a 90who10 podcast episode.

The chance encounter occurred as they browsed through the Gagosian Gallery for an exhibition by his Moneyball director, Bennett Miller

He discussed in detail how he had prioritized raising Angelina’s kids during her breakup and protracted divorce from Brad Pitt throughout the conversation.

James, who was last seen in public with his father in October 2022, acknowledged that he felt obligated to ‘defend’ his sister’s six children in the midst of their turbulent divorce and the ensuing bad press for their feuding ex-partners.

The topic of James’ relationship with Angelina in recent years came up, along with inquiries regarding his reaction to their highly public breakup.

James stated via Too Fab, “That’s where it all started, it started with the protection of her and then of her children, my nieces and nephews,” implying that following her breakup, he and his sister entered a new stage in their relationship.

According to reports, Pitt and de Ramon, 31, who the actor started dating in February of last year, were both “polite and acknowledged them” back.

He went on, mentioning her children, “There are those are massively formative years, they’re becoming young adults in their early 20s.”

With her former partner Brad, the Changeling actress has five children: Maddox, 22; Pax, 20; Zahara, 18; Shiloh, 17; and twins, Knox and Vivienne, 15.

James went on, “I think it’s just very natural [to feel protective] and I just want to be there, but that’s crazy thinking that.” Very similar to my mother. I want to be in their presence whenever I get the opportunity to be in it.

He put the feeling down to what he had learned from Marcheline Bertrand, his late mother.

Later, the two blamed the outrageous displays for their mother’s hospitalization during the awards season campaign stress.

Bertrand was given an ovarian cancer diagnosis in 1999, and even after being admitted to the hospital, the illness continued to affect her for a number of years.

At the age of 56, the actress passed away in 2007.

James mainly used ambiguous language while discussing his relationship with his sister, although he seemed glad to do so.

Though it was unclear if they were film projects or something else entirely, he did say that they two intended to work together on projects in the future.

James clarified, “We have a lot of common interests, especially when it comes to helping kids or stuff like that.” “And I think there’s a lot of things in the future that I think we’ll do together, even though there are a lot of things we’ve never done publicly together that we’ll probably be working on in the future.”

Beginning in the late 1990s, James had a consistent run of small appearances in television and movies, most of which starred his sister or second husband, Billy Bob Thornton, with whom she was married from 2000 to 2003.

He has largely avoided the spotlight in recent years, and his most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2013 short film Easy Silence.

In addition to acting and directing films on occasion, his sister Angelina has maintained a multifaceted career as a human rights advocate and Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

But in a recent interview with WSJ Magazine, she revealed her wish to leave Los Angeles and voiced her displeasure with the film industry.

There have been turbulent times in James and Angelina’s relationship with their father, Jon Voight, including a period of time when they were not close to him.

When James and Angelina were being raised by their mother Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away from cancer in 2007, James stated in an interview with Daily Mail that his father had been frugal with money for his family.

When you can obtain your driver’s license in Los Angeles at 16, which is when James had one of the saddest moments of his life, he added. During our high school years, neither Angelina nor I owned a car.

There’s been no shared explanation for the widening distance.
