’It Ends With Us’ set photographs include Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in a ѕєиѕυαℓ encounter

The movie version of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling book “It Ends With Us” may have to wait a little while longer for CoHorts.

Sony informed TODAY.com on January 11 that the picture, which stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, will now be released on June 21, instead of February 9.

Photos from the Jersey City set show a passionate kiss scene between Lively and Baldoni’s characters, taken the day after they were out and about filming the upcoming flick.

The performers seem to be speaking in public while wearing troubled facial expressions in a photo from January 12.

Lively hugs Baldoni’s face to hers in another. They exchange a kiss as well.

Then, in a different series of images, Lively, with flamboyant red hair, swings a toddler.

Although readers of T𝔦kTok, or BookTok, have long been fans of Hoover’s romance novel, Hollywood is now slated to learn about Hoover’s work for the first time this summer. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming flick.

With whom is “It Ends With Us” cast?

In the movie, 36-year-old Lively, a former “Gossip Girl” star, will play Lily Bloom. In the book, Ryle Kincaid, a 30-year-old neurosurgeon, wins the heart of Lily, a 23-year-old proprietor of a flower store.

Hoover, a lifelong fan of Lively, talked on how surprised she was to see the actor in a panel at Book Bonanza in Grapevine, Texas, in 2023.

“I found it hard to accept. “I’ve been a tremendous admirer of Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and I’ve been enamored with her since the days of “Gossip Girl,” the speaker declared.

The 39-year-old director and actor Justin Baldoni is slated to play Ryle. Lily’s childhood crush, Atlas Corrigan, will be portrayed by “Yellowstone” spinoff “1923” star Brandon Sklenar as her second love interest.

“SNL” alum Jenny Slate will feature as Ryle’s sister Allysa Kincaid, while comic Hasan Minhaj will portray Marshall, Allysa’s husband, according to Deadline.

‘It Ends With Us’: what is it about?

During the pαndєmic, “It Ends With Us” became a viral T𝔦kTok video, and films uploaded to the app with the #itendswithus tag have amassed over 3 billion views.

According to Circana Bookscan, Hoover sold more than 8.6 million print copies of her works in 2022, making them among of the most successful books ever written.

“It Ends With Us” tackles themes of domestic abuse and the cycle of 𝔳𝔦𝔬𝔩𝔢𝔫𝔠𝔢 while focusing on the love tale between Lily and Ryle.

Although Ryle turns violent during their marriage and Lily had an abusive father growing up, she may be able to leave when she unexpectedly runs across Atlas years after she last saw him.

In 2023, Hoover informed Jenna Bush Hager of TODAY that her mother and biological father served as some inspiration for the story.

“One of my earliest memories was him throwing a TV at her,” she recalled. “We grew up in an abusive household up to that point.”

When Hoover was two years old, her mother filed for divorce from her father. “From then on, I just remember growing up with a mother who was so strong and independent,” she stated.

The ardent supporters of Hoover, referred to as CoHorts, are committed to the book exactly as it was written. However, other critics of the book contend that Hoover shouldn’t have written about domestic abuse at all and that the book promotes it.

In 2023, Hoover informed Jenna, the anecdotes from her fans surpass any criticism.

Reading about how much the book has benefited readers and how my mother’s story has genuinely given other ladies the courage to escape their circumstances has made me feel incredibly happy. I can’t wait to see this fantastic thing on screen. Regarding the future movie, Hoover added, “I also hope that it has the same influence that the book has had.
