Dua Lipa Shares Amusing Video of Her Efforts to Sit Down in Her Super Snug Schiaparelli Gown at the Golden Globes

She has a reputation for going above and beyond for a red carpet look.

Even though Dua Lipa did not let anyone down at the 81st Golden Globes on Sunday, she did disclose the harsh truth of getting ready for the Los Angeles event.

The singer, 28, posted a funny video to her Instagram of herself in her black Schiaparelli bone gown, awkwardly trying to sit in a chair when instructed to do so.

With a comical demeanor, Dua sank onto her golden-colored chair, maintaining a tilted plank posture due to the tightness of her clothing around her waist that prevented her from bending.

She grinned awkwardly, puckering her lips into a pout as she awkwardly rested her arm over the back of the chair to steady herself.

The New Rules hitmaker said, “Thank you s for such a beautiful night last night – the only thing missing was a reclining chair,” as the description for an album of pictures from the event.

The ridiculous outfit included a huge ruffled puff skirt and shimmering gold details.

She paired the opulent ensemble with a glittering yellow necklace and several little silver hoops earrings.

Dua’s blockbuster song from the Barbie movie, “Dance The Night,” earned her a nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture throughout the evening.

The poignant ‘What Was I Made For?’ from the Barbie movie won, but Billie Eilish and Finneas, the first-time nominees, defeated them.

It happens after Dua gave her admirers to a string of humorous selfies taken while intoxicated last week during her family’s wild New Year’s Eve celebration in Jaipur, India.

The musician celebrated the year 2024 with a boisterous party and a few too many strong beverages.

The hitmaker said she was feeling stupid after having five negronis when she posted some pictures from the evening to Instagram.

At the conclusion of the evening, Dua, dressed in a white dressing robe, made a number of goofy faces while posing for close-up pictures.

“Anyone else do this after five negronis?” she wrote as the caption for the photo. Cheers to 2024!

Dua dazzled at the evening festivities, looking effortlessly stylish in a chocolate brown halterneck dress.

The dress highlighted her slender figure with a slit that ran from her chest to her torso as the skirt fell to the floor.

Dua shared a number of photos from the festivities and appeared to be enjoying her negroni as she held it up for a picture with her companion.

Dua expressed to her admirers that she felt “beyond lucky” to visit India for the holidays.
