Sponsorship of Chelsea’s shirt sleeves has been extended to cryptocurrency business BingX

The cryptocurrency company BingX has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Chelsea and will serve as the club’s sleeve sponsor for the remainder of the current season.’

The Premier League club’s training uniforms will have the BingX logo beginning with the 2024–25 season as part of the rumored multi-year agreement.

The Blues’ new sponsor was reportedly supposed to be unveiled on January 9th, in time for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Middlesbrough.

This season, the west London club renewed their front-of-shirt sponsorship with Infinite Athlete, a US data firm that will continue to appear on the team’s uniforms during the remainder of the campaign.

An formal partnership between a crypto business and 18 of the 20 Premier League clubs has already been announced, drawing significant criticism.

Who will sponsor Chelsea’s shirt and sleeves starting from next season is still up in the air, and starting with the 2024–25 season, the club’s jerseys will include an unannounced sleeve sponsor.

In September, Mail Sport claimed that Chelsea had discussions with multiple possible partners, including Riyadh Air, a Saudi Arabian carrier.

The NFL, Colorado Athletics, and the US Collegiate Pac-12 Conference are already significant sponsors of Infinite Athlete, the parent company of Tempus Ex, another Chelsea partner. This year saw a rebranding, however the company’s roots go all the way back to 2009.

They aim to become a global powerhouse in football by providing clubs with affordable player data and enabling spectators to see games from different camera angles; they initially teamed with Chelsea earlier this year.

Since their agreement with cellphone carrier Three terminated last summer, Chelsea have been looking for a new major partner. During the early games of the season, they played without shirts without a sponsor.

The deal with Infinite Athlete was approved by the Premier League during the week, but talks with Allianz and a cryptocurrency startup also fell through.
