According to talkSPORT, clubs in England, Turkey, and other Saudi teams are showing interest in former Liverpool star and Al Ahli attacker Roberto Firmino.
The 32-year-old left Liverpool in the summer to join the Saudi Pro League team on a free transfer, and he made an immediate impression by scoring a hat-trιck on his debut.
His goal-scoring ability has subsequently faltered, though, and the Al Ahli supporters have taken issue with it as the team is currently third in the league. The former Liverpool player, who has only played in 18 games, may be thinking about making a transfer during the winter transfer window because of his alleged dissatisfaction with Al Ahli’s setup.
According to reports, the Saudi Pro League team is willing to loan him out in the coming year.Firmino was previously targeted by Sheffield United under former manager Paul Heckingbottom, but the player’s possible transfer to the Blades remаins unclear in light of Chris Wilder’s return.
Although Firmino would rather stay in Saudi Arabia, Al Ahli is amenable to his return to either Europe or Brazil. Although Al Shabab, Al Ettifaq, and Al Fateh have all been linked to the Brazilian, Turkish teams have expressed interest in him.Al Ahli’s preferred loan destination is allegedly Al Shabab since they still have room in their budget to pay Firmino’s salary.
Firmino might be signed by Al Ettifaq, which is led by the legendary Steven Gerrard of Liverpool, if Al Ahli agrees to pay all or part of Firmino’s wage.
Firmino’s exit might be decided upon in January or postponed until the summer.
Firmino’s final opportunity to play in 2023 is prior to the Saudi winter break, which lasts until February, as he hasn’t started since October.
