Jamie Carragher duped by fake Arsenal ιnjury as Gary Neville tells him ‘calm down’

After the legendary Liverpool player was tricked into thinking he was injured, Gary Neville ripped into Carragher.

An X account impersonating David Ornstein of The Athletic made the claim that William Saliba of Arsenal will be out for seven weeks with a hamstring issue. Neville gave Carragher permission to repost the poem without verifying its veracity.

Neville posted a screenshot of Carragher’s gaffe along with the caption “Awkward!” on his social media account. Con artist! “Relax, @Carra23,” she said, adding an emoji of a laughing face. Fans were not going to let the former Reds defender off the hook, so he discreetly erased the post a few minutes later.That Carragher reposted it? Absolutely not. The post “I’m in tears” was made by an X user. Someone another commented: “Lol Carragher was so happy, hasn’t said a word since realising it was fake.”

Another person chuckled: “Carragher so desperate for Arsenal to slip up he’s willing to believe any old news article.” A fourth person stated “Oh dear Carra, fake Ornstein has absolutely had your pants down there son” .With Arsenal one point ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team in the standings, the news of Saliba’s ιnjury will undoubtedly delight Liverpool fans.
